It's Friday! Phew, right? I don't know about you, but this time of year - I'm ready for the weekend and a fluffy blanket (photo credit).

I just wanted to pop in to say hello... and wish you a good weekend. Also - we're really excited to be a part of Pretty Mommy's Fall Recipe Exchange. Our recipe will be featured on November 30, and get ready to have your socks knocked off - it's a good one.

It's a gloomy morning here in OurTown, and just perfect for crossing things off my to-do list. Don't you just LOVE crossing things off your to-do list?

Here are a few things on my list today:

• Cover my porch furniture with a tarp that I have yet to purchase. Snow's about the fly here in the midwest, and my adirondack chairs won't survive if I don't give them a blanket. :) Now I need to figure out where to purchase a tarp.
• MyMan and I have a special anniversary coming up.... and I am going to take some time work on the project I have in mind. He checks this blog once in awhile... so I'm going to leave it at that (hi sweetie!)
• I'm a fru-gal (ha! get it?) at heart, so I have grand plans to get kleenex almost free at walgreens, and MyMan's favorite 'za, DiGiorno is also almost free at our local food market, so I'm planning to stock up!

pumpkin pickin

Well then.

It seems I've been slightly delinquent with keeping you all up to speed on the fun I've been having this fall. I'm going to blame the indian summer we've been having. Onward forward.

As promised, pumpkins were carved.

MyMan and I started off at the local pumpkin patch.

Soooo many to choose from!

We found JUST the right ones... then it was home for a bath!

LET THE CARVING BEGIN!

There were pumpkin seeds.

LOTS o' pumpkin seeds.

I don't know what was with me this year. Despite the abundance of seeds, I just couldn't work up the hutspa to get 'em spiced and in the oven. So sue me, right?

Now. I wish I had pictures from all throughout the actual carving process... but I was so engrossed in my little tool kit and the wonderful things it was doing to my pumpkin... I took zero pictures. Fail.

My final product, however?

Viola!

The grosgrain ribbon is a finishing-touch-necessity for any gal's pumpkin... wouldn't ya say?
